Community Invited to Celebrate Launch of 2022-2026 Strategic Plan

Throughout 2021, MCC engaged students, community stakeholders, and employees in a process to develop MCC’s 2022-2026 strategic plan.  These collaborations produced a new 54-month strategic plan that builds on our student success accomplishments and aims to position Muskegon Community College as the best community colleges in the nation.  All community and campus members are invited to join us for a celebratory MCC Strategic Plan Launch event 4-5pm Thursday, January 27, 2022 on Zoom.  In addition to getting insight about the goals and strategies, event participants will also have the opportunity to provide input and prioritize initiatives.  Register now to join Dr. Nesbary on January 27.      

MCC Collects Community Input on Presidential Search

As Muskegon Community College begins its search to replace President Dale K. Nesbary, who is retiring this summer, the search team invited input from community members concerning the opportunities and challenges they envision for the next MCC leader.  Learn more about the search process.

Donna Brazile Keynotes 25th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast

Donna Brazile, a Washington D.C. political strategist and regular national news contributor, will be the keynote speaker at Muskegon Community College’s 25th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast.  The event, which was originally scheduled for January 14, will now be held on June 10.  Get event details.

MCC Offers New Certified Personal Trainer Program

A new 16-week course for those interested in becoming a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) commences this month Read more about this new program.

Michigan Reconnect Program Helps 25+ Pay for College

The Michigan Reconnect program helps pay for Michiganders 25 or older, who do not have a college degree but would like to earn a certificate or an associate degree at a community college.  The program only covers tuition and mandatory fees at the in-county rate for an occupational certificate or an associate degree.  Get more information about Michigan Reconnect.

New Theater Instructor Directing ‘Awaken Beauty’

Les Rorick joined MCC as a new theater instructor and will direct an original theatrical production that seeks to bring beauty to life.  Save the Date for Awaken Beauty.
